Milk and dairy farmers

The strength of Fattorie Osella has always been the milk it uses, sourced each day from 62 selected local dairy farms: from the smallest cowsheds to the largest industrial operations. Caring for the dairy farms is a constant priority for us, and this is why we support the adoption of best dairy farm practices based on the use of traditional forages

Special attention is also paid to maintaining and protecting the Piedmontese breed, now a rarity in dairy farms. All of this must ultimately translate into financial recompense, consequently Fattorie Osella has put in place a customised quality payment system that significantly rewards the efforts of dairy farmers with respect to key milk parameters.

As always, Dario Osella personally oversees relations with “his” dairy farmers, nearly all of whom have been supplying milk to the Fattorie for generations, inviting them to convivial meetings and dinner dances that make them feel like part of one big family.
